Pack 442 Caroling
Pack 442 goes caroling to a local nursing home before the December Pack meeting.

  • What to Bring: Cub Scouts will wear their Class A uniforms.

Scout Sunday
Cub Scouts participating in Cub Scout Pack 442 are honored at a Friendswood UMC church service.

  • What to Bring: Class A uniforms are required

Arrow of Light
The highest rank in Cub Scouting is the Arrow of Light Award. Earning this rank prepares a Webelos Scout to become a Boy Scout. Webelos Scouts who have earned the Arrow of Light Award have also completed all requirements for the Boy Scout badge.

This award is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform when a scout graduates into a troop. Adult leaders who earned the Arrow of Light Award when they were young may also show their achievement by wearing a special square knot on their adult uniform.

Crossover
Held at the May Pack meeting where the Scouts are promoted to the next rank.

  • Attendance: Cub Scouts and families
  • What to Bring: Typically bridging cub scouts (or those crossing over to the next rank) are given the neckerchief, slide, and training guide for the next rank.

Summer Activities

Pack Swim Party
Swim party held in June that will allow the Cub Scouts to earn their Swimming belt loop and pin. Webelos I and II scouts can also earn their Aquanaut Activity Pin.

  • Duration: Typically 2 hours
  • Cost: Free
  • Attendance: Cub Scouts and Cub Scout families
  • What to Bring: Nothing other than typical swimming paraphernalia.

Friendswood 4th of July Parade
Cub Pack 442 participates in the City of Friendswood’s annual 4th of July parade.

  • Pack 442 Event
  • Location: Friendswood
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Cost: Free
  • Attendance: Cub Scouts and their families
  • What to Bring: Friendswood sets the theme for the parade each year and the Pack 442 parade coordinator will determine the “floats” that the Pack brings to the parade.

Skate Party

Skating party to kick off the new Scouting year

  • Location: Pearwood Skating Rink
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Cost: Pack 442 Cub Scouts and siblings are free, optional cost to upgrade from traditional 4 wheeled skates to roller blades, snack bar will be open
  • Attendance: All Ranks, Parents and Siblings are welcome
  • Uniform: Class B
  • What to Bring: Roller blades may be brought in with the scouts.

Note that if your scout attends all 3 Summer Activities, they will qualify for the Summertime Activity Award.
