Your Scout’s Uniform

Putting on the uniform does not make a fellow a Scout, but putting on the uniform is a sign to the world that one has taken the Scout obligations and folk expect Scout-like acts from one wearing it. – Handbook for Boys, 1927

Scouts and adult leaders should wear their uniforms to den meetings, pack meetings, and any special activities they participate in as a scout. The BSA describes many benefits to wearing the uniform, including giving scouts a sense of belonging, reminding scouts of the commitment to the purpose and aims of the BSA, giving the scouts a sense of pride in their unit, and encouraging proper behavior.

The Clear Lake Scout Shop is the closest place to get your uniform. All you’ll need to tell them is your scout’s rank and that you’re with Pack 442 from Friendswood – they will take it from there (they’ll even sew on patches for a small fee). Here’s their address and hours:
